Even in an active household, proper care and maintenance will help you keep your carpet pristine! There are many preventative measures that you can take the reduce the amount of wear that your carpet will experience:
- Encourage guests and residents to scrape footwear before entering the home.
- Encourage guests and residents to remove footwear by entrances.
- Keep all pets groomed to reduce the amount of dander in the home.
- Keep all pet nails trimmed to reduce snags to the carpet pile.
Dirt & Debris
We recommend using mats at all entrances to reduce the amount
of dirt and debris tracked on your carpet. Vacuum as regularly as
possible to effectively remove dirt and debris before they become
abrasive to the surface, and to restore a fresh carpet appearance.
Spills & Stains
Treat spills as soon as possible with warm water, a clean cloth, and
gentle carpet-specific cleaner to prevent permanent stains from
forming. We recommend 1-2 professional carpet cleanings each year
to remove any residual spill, stubborn stains, or lingering odors.
